The Charger Needs Charging by Petra Pierre - Robertson

John 15:5 Without Me you can do nothing I reached for my phone and pressed the power button. The screen remained unchanged. I pressed the button again, but firmer this time. Still no change. Was my phone suddenly malfunctioning? I tried one more time - nothing. Confused, I looked at the charger into which it had been plugged all night. The charger was out of power. The charger needed charging. The charger needed charging Now, there was a plug on the wall, close to where I had deposited the phone. But it was more convenient to move around with the charger. Sometimes I had to stop what I was doing to plug into the main outlet. I didnt have the time for that. Doing that slowed my pace down. And I had much to do. You see, the main outlet was too fixed. It was too limiting. I had to adjust my modus operandi to plug into it. The Source was too fixed and limiting The charger however afforded flexibility. It could be taken and used anywhere. Although it had its share of falls and maltreatm

'Well-Kept Pot Hound' by Petra Pierre - Robertson

But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people… (1 Peter 2:9)   Well kept Pot Hound Almost everyone was walking their dog on the trail. It was a cool Sunday morning; a nice morning for walking . We were also walking; and we had a dog too. It is amazing how humans notice dogs. They notice the dog before they notice The Master. They gaze at the dog, wave to it and smile at it, before their eyes finally connect with The Master; the one responsible for the condition of the dog.   As they walk away, they look back at...the dog   Various breeds of dogs On this particular morning, there were various breeds of dogs; Labradors, Terriers, Mastiffs, Pompeks and even some foreign looking snow dogs (who were not here on vacation)! As the dogs passed each other, they sized each other up, straining at the leashes held tightly by their masters; each wanting to dominate the other and project themselves as the better and more powerful dog. (Sounds familiar?)

Stop! 2 Busy 2 Blog? (Confession) by Petra Pierre - Robertson

Exodus 18:17  …you will surely wear yourselves out…   I was so tired. I was skating from one activity to the next; one project to the next; one appointment to the next. Didn't even have the time to blog.  My l ast blog was one month ago on February 24. This is the reason.  2B 2  . Forgive me .  I felt like I was walking on air.  There was so much to do and so little time.  In addition to my daily routine, the grind was on… Daily Routine:    Get up at 5am.  Time for worship. I didn't stop to do the  bed.  Will do so after worship since I do not want any distraction from worship.  Amidst my busy schedule worship is critical.  It is the gas that keeps me going.  Mark 1:35:  Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed.    After worship I go in the yard to hear the birds, breathe the cool morning air, feel the warmth of the rising sun, talk to the plants and stretch.  On my way back inside I

"Overburdened!" by Petra Pierre - Robertson

OVERBURDENED! Psalm 57:2 "I cry out to God Most High, to God who fulfils his purpose for me." I was hoping that branch in particular would survive. Several others had broken under the weight, but that limb in particular looked sturdy. We had pruned the tree the year before. Although it had borne good creamy avocados for years, it was getting old. Its limbs were weak and under attack from termites, yet it had continued to fulfil its purpose and do what it had been doing for years – giving good fruit even while parasites sucked on old branches, old branches sucked on the limbs and the limbs sucked on the trunk. But what of the sustenance of the source of their strength? So we pruned the tree, severing the branches which sucked, as they were being sucked, yet bore little or no fruit. That season we got no fruit; we had pruned when the tree was flowering. The tree flowered again! The next season however, the tree flowered again. Plenty flowers. Plenty buds. Plenty
